Gatherings
A charismatic healing Mass will be celebrated by Father Terry Cassidy at 7 p.m. May 2 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1010 S. Louisa St. Prelude music will begin at 6:45 p.m. Prayer teams will be available after Mass.
Pricsilla Shirer, Christian author and speaker, will present her teaching event “Going Beyond Simulcast,” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. May 4 and 8 to 11:30 a.m. May 5 at St. Paul Baptist Church, 114 W. Forrest Hill. The simulcast is free. A women’s luncheon will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday. Cost is $10. For ticket and registration information, call 686-2086.
An open house to honor the retirement of Martha Easter and Kathi Miller from the Rainbow Corner Preschool will be from 2 to 4 p.m. May 6 in the fellowship hall at Mossville United Methodist Church, 1015 E. Mossville Road.
Holy hour for the “Rights of the Unborn Child” will be at 7 p.m. May 7 at the Rosmini House, 2327 W. Heading Ave., West Peoria. It will include benediction, rosary and other prayers.
The Grace United Methodist Church Friendship Club welcomes all to break bread with them at noon on the first Monday of each month. On May 7, a meal will be prepared by Roy Johnson and Eileen Barbour in the Fellowship Hall of the church, 601 N. Fourth St., Pekin.
Lunch ‘n’ Learn will be discussing “Exercise and Injury Prevention for Older Adults” with Lane Dieckow, certified strength and conditioning specialist, from noon to 1 p.m. May 8 at United Presbyterian Church, 2400 W. The Midwest Food Bank will sponsor a concert featuring the Legacy Five Gospel Quartet at 7 p.m. May 3 at Bethany Baptist Church, 7422 N. Heinz Lane, Edwards. Tickets will be $15 and $20. Tickets are available at Midwest Food Bank, Hoerr’s Berean Bookstore in Peoria and Bloomington and at the door.

Bazaar
Advent Lutheran Church will have a garage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 5 at the church, 1211 S. Main St., Morton. The sale will benefit the single-parent program of Lutheran Social Services of Illinois in Peoria and matching funds will be provided by the Tazewell County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
The Women’s Fellowship of Peoria Heights Congregational Church will have its spring rummage sale from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 3 and 4; and from 9 a.m. to noon May 5 at the church, 4906 N. Prospect Road, Peoria Heights. Items for sale include clothing, household goods, furniture, books, tool and miscellaneous items. Sandwiches and dessert will be served on Thursday and Friday. Proceeds will be used to support church missions and projects.
Classes
The Gospel Experience Church will present a three-day workshop conference, “What in the World is Going On?” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. May 1-3 at the church, 3101 NE Madison Ave. The topics will include prophetic ministry, the end times and the Azusa movement. The event is free.

Morton-East Peoria Christian Singles, for all divorced, widowed or never-married people, will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. May 3 at the First United Methodist Church, 154 E. Washington St., East Peoria. A native of Nigeria and chemist at the U.S. National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research will speak on Nigeria.
Peoria Catholic Single Adults Club will meet for Mass at 2 p.m. May 4 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3720 N. Sterling Ave. The group will go to dinner afterwards. Support Group
Survivors of Suicide Grief Support Group meets regularly at 7 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month in the atrium area at Proctor Hospital, 5409 N. Knoxville Ave. The group is for anyone who is grieving over a suicidal death. For information, call the Rev. Eimo Hinrichs at 697-3342.
