Office Safe | Police Release Images Of Armed Robbery

Queensland Police have released images of gun-wielding bandits entering a Brisbane hotel who threatened staff and patrons with fake explosives and firearms.

At 10:45pm On April 30th, three men, entered the Lucky Star Tavern in Sunnybank Hills and ordered patrons to lie on the floor.

One of the three men then placed an “explosive” on the bar and threatened to detonate it if any of the victims were not complicit with their demands.

They then ordered a male staff member to unlock an office safe before fleeing the premises with an undisclosed sum of cash.

It has since been revealed the explosive was fake, made up of two cakes of soap stuck together with black duct tape.

The villains then fled from the Hellawell Road pub.

The three men were all wearing tracksuit pants, balaclavas and gloves. One was armed with a hand gun, one with a shot gun, while the other man was carrying a sports bag.

Police are continuing investigations.
